Today we woke up at 7:45am and continued our pampered lifestyles. We went to breakfast at the Knights of Columbus where the Knights and their wives served us plateloads of pancakes, sausages, and scrambled eggs. There was even a side table filled with all types of donuts and pastries which we got to take with us.
Later in the day we had some free time. I decided to mail home some of the un-needed things I had packed along. As it turns out, you really only need the two shirts and the pair of khakis they provide you. We honestly spend the rest of the day in our cycling jerseys anyway. I mailed home my towel because I have my speedo chamois, and the southern sun can dry anything you own in about 3 minutes.
For dinner and the rest of the day, we spent time at the home of Dean and Martha Bennett. We lounged around their spacious in ground pool and had a dinner of baked potatoes with all the fixins. Their home, or I should say estate, had a beautiful view of lake Havasu and a yard landscaped with various species of cacti. They explained that land out here is very cheap, so they had plenty left over to fix up their house. That may be something to keep in mind.
Still plenty more to see though, and we hit the road tomorrow.
